Liza Blas’ Lyme Disease Hack: Hope, Gratitude & Getting Through the Hard Days

Liza Blas Lyme Disease Hack 2026

Liza Blas shares a powerful Lyme Hack: hold onto hope, honor the hard days, and use gratitude to move forward through the chronic Lyme journey.

  1. Hold Onto Hope
    • Believing that recovery is possible is essential.
    • Even during the hardest moments, remind yourself this is temporary.
    • Healing may take time, but it is possible.
  2. Honor the Hard Days
    • Don’t ignore or suppress difficult emotions.
    • Allow yourself to feel, cry, and process what you’re going through.
    • Emotional release is part of the healing journey.
  3. Lean Into Gratitude
    • Find one small thing to be grateful for each day.
    • Even simple moments—like sunshine or a conversation—can shift your mindset.
    • Gratitude helps you move forward, even when progress feels slow.

Liza’s message is a reminder that healing is not just physical—it’s emotional. By allowing yourself to feel deeply while holding onto hope, you can navigate even the most difficult days.

“This is just a season, and you will recover.” – Liza Blas

Matt Sabatello, Co-Founder of Tick Boot Camp: Liza Blas! We’re here in New York City. We’ve known each other for quite a while, and you are now with the brilliant Dr. Rawls at Vital Plan and RawlsMD.

Liza Blas: I’m so privileged.

Matt: I’m honored to have you back to be part of our Lyme Hackathon for Lyme Awareness Month. My question for you is: what is your top tip or recommendation for people suffering from chronic Lyme disease to help them overcome this horrible illness?

Liza: My biggest tip is to always have hope. Know that the end game is that you will recover. You really have to remember every day—even on the hardest days—that this is a season and you will recover. Never forget to have hope.

Matt: Let me push you a little bit on that, because it’s not easy. You and I both know those thoughts where you think you’re never going to get better. It’s very difficult to break that cycle. What is something specific you recommend for people who are struggling and know they need to have hope, but are stuck in the pits of their brain and their thoughts?

Liza: You have to honor those bad days. You can’t pretend that they don’t happen. You have to feel it and cry. I mean, I cried in the shower; I cried while driving with big sunglasses on. You do have to experience that.

Then, just remember that tomorrow is a new day. Also, lean into gratitude. Find one little thing to be grateful for—even if it’s just that the sun is shining or that you called a friend. Something very small will help get you through a little bit more of the day.

Matt: Such an honor. Thank you, Liza.

Liza: Thank you.
