Jasmine Perdomo shares a powerful Lyme Hack rooted in faith and resilience: when physical strength fades, spiritual strength can carry you forward.
- Lean Into Faith During Difficult Moments
- Chronic illness can challenge both body and mind.
- Faith can provide strength when you feel like you have none left.
- Spiritual connection can help restore hope during the darkest moments.
- Use Prayer to Recenter Your Mind
- Prayer can be a powerful tool to manage fear, anxiety, and negative thoughts.
- It helps shift focus away from suffering and toward hope and healing.
- Creating a daily spiritual practice can provide stability during uncertainty.
- Hold Onto Hope and Purpose
- Believing that healing is possible can change your mindset and outlook.
- Accepting challenges while trusting in a greater purpose builds resilience.
- Hope can be one of the most powerful tools in the healing journey.
Jasmine’s message reminds us that healing is not just physical—it’s emotional and spiritual. Even in the face of chronic Lyme disease, hope and faith can be powerful forces on the path to recovery.

Video Transcript:
Matt Sabatello, Co-Founder of Tick Boot Camp: Jasmine Perdomo, we’re so excited to be here with you again live in New York City for the Project Lyme event. And as you know, we’re doing our Lyme Hackathon recordings for Lyme Awareness Month in May. So, I want to ask you: what is your top Lyme hack and your top recommendation for everybody watching this video right now to help overcome and heal from chronic Lyme disease?
Jasmine Perdomo: For me, it’s been spirituality—faith and tapping into that. Because when you lose strength in yourself, I’ve been able to gain that strength from God.
Matt: That is a great answer. Give us an example of when something comes in and challenges you with your thoughts, or you feel like you can’t go on—how do you react to that and leverage your faith?
Jasmine: I react to that by prayer and by remembering that we weren’t brought here to be sick. We come from a perfect person and, unfortunately, we experience these things here on Earth. So, it’s about accepting it, but also putting it in His hands and knowing that things will get better.
Matt: And having that hope and having that strength that surpasses all understanding. I love it. Thank you so much for being a part of our Lyme Hackathon.
Jasmine: Thank you.
