Lyme Disease and Breast Implant Illness (BII)

Crystal Hefner

Crystal Hefner shared on Facebook how her “breast implants slowly poisoned” her and prevented her from healing from Lyme disease.

The former Playboy model shared that breast implants caused her “intolerance to foods and beverages, unexplained back pain, constant neck and shoulder pain, cognitive dysfunction (brain fog, memory loss), stunted hair growth, incapacitating fatigue, burning bladder pain, low immunity, recurring infections and problems with [her] thyroid and adrenals.”

Most of these symptoms are caused by Lyme disease as well, but in Crystal’s case, she was experiencing these symptoms from both Lyme and breast implant illness.

The presence of breast implants, a foreign object to the body, triggers an immune response. An immune response to breast implants can be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for some people whose bodies are “managing” Lyme – or even worse, it can make a chronic Lyme patient even sicker.

In many cases, breast implants can develop mold and/or leak which literally dumps a ton of toxins into your body. Combine this with fighting chronic Lyme disease and you are looking at one sick individual.
