Restor Medicine
Nicola McFadzean Ducharme, ND is the founder and Medical Director of RestorMedicine. She practices holistic medicine specializing in Lyme disease, hormone balancing, autistic-spectrum disorders, pre-conception health care and digestive disorders. She lives in San Diego with her husband, Dave, daughter Valentina, and their two dogs.
Education and Training
Dr. Nicola is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, trained in both the United States and her native country of Australia. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, and her Bachelor of Health Sciences (Naturopathy) from the University of New England in New South Wales, Australia. Her training included a two-year internship at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, an internship in medical research at Columbia University as a Mountbatten Scholar, and four years at the Bastyr University Research Institute.
Early Career
Dr. Nicola started her career working with children with autism. She also developed a pre-conception health care program and worked with adults in areas of hormone balancing, detoxification, digestive issues, and fertility.
Lyme Disease
Before long Dr. Nicola started seeing Lyme patients and is now recognized as a Lyme expert internationally. She now consults with patients around the world, blending conventional and integrative approaches to treating Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses. Additionally, she has developed online Lyme disease, mold, candida, and child behavioral issue training programs for patients and doctors.
