Erika Schlick’s Lyme Hack:
“Hi guys, Erika Schlick here with The Trail to Health and I’m here to share my Lyme hack. Last year I shared all about diet and how important that is, and I still truly believe that is my number one health hack. But, today I want to share another tip with you that I felt helped me a lot. And that is Heart Rate Variability (HRV) training and using biofeedback. I worked with the practitioner to kind of figure out my ideal breath rate, and how to do my heart rate variability. And that has been one of the biggest things that I still use today, even though I’m in remission, to really help calm my nervous system, help reset my anxiety, and bring my nervous system and body back to a really level point. So, if I can offer one tip, it’s definitely looking into heart rate variability. There are some apps and home tech that you can order and do it on your own. You can also work with a practitioner. I recommend that you work with a practitioner for the first few sessions just to kind of get the hang of it. And then try to integrate that into a daily practice to just help your body calm down and help your immune system reset and take care of some of that anxiety that can come with daily life and chronic illness.
