It is such a common temptation to want to become bitter and angry about all of the suffering, all of the trauma, all of the problems. Lyme disease is an all-encompassing illness. And it’s so easy to get angry and bitter. And we’ve all been through that phase where we’re angry and bitter about it. I hear this all the time. I don’t deserve this illness. I don’t deserve this illness. I don’t deserve this illness. This shouldn’t have happened to me. Absolutely. You did not deserve this illness. And really, it shouldn’t happen to anybody, but it is the hand that you were dealt, and it is your job to take personal responsibility for healing, for love, for life, and for doing the absolute best that you can every single day as you manage this illness. Do the best that you can. Do not become bitter. Let love and joy lead the way, even when it’s hard to make that choice.
