Tiffany Brown-Bush

Lyme Disease Tip Summary:
Dr. Tiffany Brown-Bush, a returning guest at the Tick Boot Camp Lyme Hackathon, emphasizes the importance of mindset in managing Lyme disease. She advises setting realistic expectations for the healing process, acknowledging that it is not a straightforward journey. Healing from Lyme disease involves a combination of holistic lifestyle interventions, tailored to each individual’s unique needs. This may include cryotherapy, sauna treatments, laser therapy, detox supplements, herbs, and homeopathy. Dr. Tiffany highlights that it’s challenging to predict which specific treatment will be most effective, as the healing process is highly individualized. She cautions against expecting a smooth or perfect journey back to one’s former self, noting that such expectations can lead to disappointment. Instead, she encourages a mindset of openness and courage, emphasizing the importance of consistently engaging in the healing process and trusting its progression. This approach fosters resilience and adaptability, crucial for navigating the complexities of chronic illness recovery.

“Hey there, Tick Boot Camp. Thank you for having me back for your Lyme Hackathon. I’m Dr. Tiffany and my tip is around mindset. It’s having realistic expectations of healing. This chronic illness experience really comes down to holistic lifestyle interventions, kind of brought together in this perfect synergy for your particular body. And it’s hard to know how you’re going to unlock that in advance. You’re going to do the cryo and the sauna and the laser and the detox supplements and herbs and all the homeopathy, and you’re not going to know which thing is going to do it. If you have this expectation that it’s a perfect, pretty healing journey, you will be disappointed. And if you think you’re gonna get back to exactly who you used to be, you might very well be disappointed. It has to be a mindset of openness and courage for this journey. And just saying “I’m going to consistently show up to healing and trust the process”. Be well.” – Doctor Tiffany Brown-Bush
