Christina Kovacs’ Lyme Hack: A Breakthrough for Alpha-Gal Syndrome

Christina Kovacs Lyme Hack 2025

Lyme Disease Tip Summary:

Christina Kovacs, creator of LadyOfLyme.com, shares a powerful solution for those dealing with Alpha-Gal Syndrome, a tick-borne meat allergy that can cause life-threatening reactions to red meat.

  1. Identify Alpha-Gal as a Possible Co-Condition

    • After a tick bite, some people develop an allergy to beef, pork, or lamb—a condition known as Alpha-Gal Syndrome.

    • Symptoms may worsen over time and can result in severe reactions, even from cross-contamination.

  2. Recognize the Severity of Reactions

    • Christina describes going from mild discomfort to EpiPen-level allergic reactions requiring hospitalization.

    • Living in fear of accidental exposure became a daily reality.

  3. Explore Soliman’s Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT)

    • SAAT is an ear acupuncture-based desensitization therapy.

    • Tiny needles are placed in the ears and left for three weeks to help the body stop reacting to a specific allergen.

    • Most patients experience significant relief after one to three treatments, depending on severity.

  4. Hope for Alpha-Gal Warriors

    • Christina has already undergone one round and is returning for a second.

    • She reports promising results and encourages others in the Lyme community struggling with Alpha-Gal to explore this option.

    • Bonus: SAAT may help with other allergies too.

“It’s very intriguing. I definitely highly recommend looking into it… I know that’s a big problem in the Lyme community.” – Christina Kovacs

“Hi guys. My name is Christina Kovacs. I run LadyOfLyme.com and I’m using my dog as click bait to get your attention to share my Lyme Hack for the official Lyme Hackathon with Tick Boot Camp. So, my Lyme hack is, I guess it’s kind of Lyme adjacent, and it has to do with alpha gal. So, if you’re one of the very unlucky people that were bit by a tick and now have the great joy of not being able to eat beef, pork or lamb, this is definitely for you. This happened to me after I was bit by a tick, I kind of slowly, to be honest with you, developed the inability to eat beef. I noticed it with beef and pork first, and it was something that got worse over time, to the point where I had literally to do a full EpiPen and Benadryl. I still had to go to the hospital if I accidentally ate beef. And this was something that left me living in fear, especially if food was contaminated with it, which can happen, you don’t even realize that there is something that is cooked with beef. So if you are like me, then you’ll be excited to hear about something called Soliman’s Auricular Allergy Treatment (SAAT), and I’ll write it out here on the screen and put a little photo of it. But it is basically like acupuncture for your ears. What they do is they put these tiny little needles into your ears. They stay there for three weeks, and then they remove them. Basically, it is desensitizing your body to that specific allergen. They’ve done multiple studies on it. Most patients need one treatment. Sometimes they’ll need two or three, depending on the severity of their Alpha gal. They will be able to go back to either eating the food or being able to ingest it if they accidentally come in contact with it without having any severe reactions. So, I’ve had this treatment once. I’m actually going back next month for a second treatment, but it’s very intriguing. I definitely highly recommend looking into it. It works for other allergies as well, but for the purposes of this, I want to talk about Alpha gal. I know that’s a big problem in the Lyme community, so yeah, I hope that’s helpful to someone. Thanks, guys. Bye.” – Christina Kovacs
