Ali Kates shares some great advice for the large subset of the Lyme community also suffering from endometriosis. First – make sure you have a doctor that is an endometriosis specialist, not an OBGYN, in addition to your Lyme doctor. Second – make sure you have a doctor that does excision surgery, not ablation. Make sure they also do tactile haptic surgery instead of the da Vinci method, which can miss a lot of endometriosis. Third – make sure this doctor will not remove any of your reproductive organs, which never gets at endometriosis. Endo can still come back even if you have a full hysterectomy.
