Allyssa LaScala’s Lyme Hack:

“Hey there, guys, my name is Allyssa LaScala. I am a virtual health practitioner and a fellow Lymie. I wanted to give you guys a little tip that I actually didn’t go too in-depth on when I was having my interview with Matt and Rich for the Tick Boot Camp Podcast. I go into detail about my whole journey. But I wanted to share this part with you guys, because this is actually one of the pieces of my protocol, the detox protocol that I use to detox from Lyme. I have dealt with mold toxicity. I share my experience with breast implant illness during that podcast as well. But, this has been super powerful for me, especially if you are someone out there that can’t exert yourself by going and exercising by going and doing anything that’s really going to get your heart rate up enough to make you sweat. Because sweat is such a powerful way to detoxify. You’re activating the heat shock proteins in your body as well. And so, I used to be able to rely on going to the gym and killing it for a two-hour workout. I can’t do that anymore. So how am I able to get myself to sweat? Well, going and doing the little portable sauna that I have in the corner of my office two to four times a week is very helpful. So I actually got this through Amazon. I picked one that was a lower EMF. One that my head is sticking out of which is super important and valuable for me as well as a lot of my clients honestly. Because that’s the part that can tend to get people to tap out sooner than they would need to to be able to get the therapeutic benefits because your head is outside here. As I zip it up for you, I’ll show you. And it’s literally just your body that is inside the box here. So it’s different than if you would go to the gym or go in a sauna that’s completely enclosed. That was my only experience with one before was when I was at the gym, and the sauna was at like 180 degrees. And I’m like, oh my god, this is disgusting. I can’t sit here longer than five minutes. And I had a very low tolerance for that heat. This is a different story. And this is super powerful. So what I do is I end up using my little handy remote, and it goes anywhere from 131 degrees to 150. And I will sit in here for anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes. I will be on my phone, I will read a book, I will listen to worship music or I’ll listen to a training, like whatever I want to do. I know that I am detoxing in ways that honestly, I can’t do anymore through exercise, at least at this point in my journey. So as I’m detoxing from Lyme, mold toxicity, and breast implant illness, all the things I go into detail on during the podcast, the sauna was something I didn’t get to go into insane detail on. But it’s been a huge part of my healing journey. And so if you guys want to hear all about my journey, please make sure that you go check out that podcast episode. I can give you some other tips and the top things that I’ve done during my healing protocols. But this is one I didn’t get to go into much detail on so you’re more than welcome to reach out if you want to know which one I got or how to find the right sauna for you.
